TradingView Duration of Preset Backtesting based on Time Frame

If you have been using for a while, u should realize that each TF will backtest different duration. The longer the time frame, the longer the backtesting range (further back). This is when u use the standard strategy backtester, unlike the 'Deep Backtesting' which only available on Pro version and above where you can specifically set the timing/duration of the backtesting date.

At the time of this writing, this the aprox duration of backtesting on different time frames:

  • 1 min: 2 weeks
  • 3 min:  6 weeks
  • 5 min:  10 weeks
  • 7 min:  14 weeks
  • 10 min:  20 weeks
  • 15 min:  30 weeks (aprox 7months)
  • 30 min:  74 weeks (from 1/1/2023)
  • 1 hour:   126 weeks (from 1/1/2022)
  • 2 hour:   282 weeks (from 1/1/2019)
  • 3 hour:   354 weeks (from Aug 2017)
  • 4 hour:  354 weeks
  • 6 hour:   354 weeks
  • 8 hour:   354 weeks
  • 12 hour:  354 weeks
  • 1 day:   354 weeks
  • 1 week:  355 weeks

The figures above are from BTCUSDT chart, different pairs may give different figures. They are just estimates.
